To those that may be laughing, I've got a few things to point out. I've had a PS3 since shortly after its initial release, (so what roughly four years?) so have several of my real world friends. I have a slim now, but we all still have our originals as well, and they're running fine. Some of PS3s may crash, but I don't personally know anyone who has had it happen. Everybody I know who has owned an XBOX, has encountered a serious crash if not the dreaded RROD. Also, this downtime may be a bit long for some of us, but it has not yet, and probably will not reach your record breaking 12 day outage in 2007. Also as several have stated our network is free.
Now, I've got a few questions for them. How many movies fit on your stock HDDs? Also, how is that 3D blu ray functionality on your box? Oh that's right you need to buy larger HDDs, and have no blu ray let alone 3D blu ray.
The downtime has cut into my weekend plans. It's ok, I did a little fishing, plenty of drinking, and the woman is in a much better mood without me hogging the 50 inch sony bravia all night. I'll wait it out, it'll come back up, and in the end my system is still more robust of an entertainment unit than yours, and my online is still free.
