GeoHot has nothing to do with you not being able to sign in. The PSN was 'attacked' and Sony has to rebuild the servers. It's not an easy process.

He MAINLY did that so we can run homebrew, I sometimes mod lobbies and stuff but i mainly use it for HOMEBREW. I know Sony wants fair but they can portray that in a waaay different way.

That's why Sony has no problem with you buying a PS3 and modifying it however you like. You own it. However, once you Accept the Terms of Service and sign up for a PSN account, Sony tries hard not to let system modifications interfere with the PSN and ruin the experience of other users. Hence what happened with all of the games in the Call of Duty series.
