Sony remove Other OS for security reason, Sony DID NOT advertise Other OS at all, even you don't find it in intruction book, Other OS was temporary feature, beside that Other OS is shit and useless on PS3. If you want linx then use it on the PC. Sony DID NOT remove it, you are the one who remove Other OS by UPDATING the PS3. Before you update the PS3 it say on TOS that you agreed to lose Other OS if you update. If you don't agreed to lose Other OS then don't update your PS3 then you still have your Other OS to this day.
It not like Sony ninjas comes to home and put gun into your head and said to you "hey if you don't update, we will blow your brains out" Sony left you with these option, you stupid wise****. If you are complaining about Other OS then that's your own goddamn problem for updating your PS3 in the place.

It took almost five years to hack the PS3, calling PS3 security a joke is just another media attention to expand reputation for hackers and also why XBOX360 hacked in the first year when it released and not the PS3 ? huh.
