Because PSN is down the playstation store aint gonna get any sales, reducing money, possibly even crippling sony :/. And again the online world is a BIG thing so big games that are bought just for multiplayer their companies may go down with sony too... No-one is buying PSN services such as PS+ which really drew people in. And thats just sony's side...

On the xbox side there are more sales as ps3 gamers are turning over to xbox live so they will gain more money turning sony basically into a little ant...

XBOX live went down in 2007/08 for 15 days thats 2 weeks, people just forget about it, and it just gets people overhyped to get back on to PSM so no, i think it might be good cause it shows peole sony will shut down PSN to protect your accounts...

I doubt one week is going to affect alot. People that cant stand a week and move over to Xbox are just addicts to gaming xD Well I hate that PSN is offline but still I can survive one week more lol.

It's a week? This isn't going to "cripple" an international, multimillion dollar organization. They may be losing money, but not nearly enough to do any serious damage. It's a server outage, not their headquarters around the world being simultaneously bombed.
