Invites for the Infamous 2 beta began going out a few weeks ago for players to try their hands at creating missions for Cole, the game's super-powered main character. Then, the PlayStation Network crashed due to an "external intrusion." The ability to take your PlayStation 3 online has been turned off since Wednesday, April 20, 2011.
In light of the fact that no one can get online to test Infamous 2, developer Sucker Punch has extended the beta period. The announcement came via the company's Facebook/Twitter and didn't pack many details.
