Post: Portal 2 needs to be like LBP

I recently finished Portal 2 and the story id good, and the puzzles sometimes annoyed me
but now its over there is just nothing to do except co-op, and to get platinum trophy.
I was thinking what if you could create your own puzzles. Just like LBP you design it and upload it to share with the community. This will make people keep the game longer then a week. You can use all your brains to make some really great puzzles.

I just think this would have given the game an online competitive edge. Maybe have leaderboards of some of the fastest times / most played / most impossible puzzle etc.
If they did this I would easily have kept the game for much longer then I plan to. Whats your opinion on this? Do you reckon it would work?

Making your own puzzles would be so good but I think they spend ages making levels because everything has to be right.

You can make your own levels on the pc. It is a bit of a painful process currently because Valve hasn't released their official tool yet, but they said they will release one sometime after launch :y:
If you just really want to get your hands on it, here is a tutorial. Probably best to wait for the actual tool though :p

Valve has also said it will be bringing the best user created levels to all consoles through DLC. Knowing Valve it will likely be free on pc and ps3, who knows about M$

Sounds sweet :y: It would be better if us on ps3 could create puzzles ourselves. Only problem I see is the people with portal 2 now have probably finished it and wont wait for DLC to be released:mad:

If it was like lbp 2 i would not buy it, I do agree about creating your own, But LBP sucks.
Just i dont like being a guy in a sack.. Just sayin :carling:

Moving to the Xbox Scene.
I think they could at least make some MP gaming, Example: "Portal Trap" (1v1) First person to trap the other player between portals win. =D
