Sony has decided to clean up all the rumors that have been brewing around the Playstation community as well as the gaming community. They have confirmed that Sony will not be resetting Playstation Network accounts, as some of you may think.

James Gallagher, SCEE Blog Manager of Europe confirms these rumors in his You must login or register to view this content.:

We’re not resetting accounts or anything like that, so when PSN is restored and you log on, everything will be as you left it.

He also stated that your trophies, wallet, friends will all stay the same as they were before the outage.

When PSN is restored, friends lists, trophies and wallet funds will all be exactly as they were before.

Are you glad that Sony is clearing up the rumors?

Are you stupid or what? Yes okay, Trophy does store on PS3 hard drive but however Store Trophy on PSN is the best option, it's like saying that you earn 3000 trophies on PS3 hard drive and never haved signed a PSN account then if your harddrive failed to read then you would lose all your trophies for good and yes it does worries for some people. Pretty much same as cloud storage.

This is great. I'm near 2500 trophies and would hate to have lost everything. I could use their asses for lost funds, but trophies aren't so lucky.

They are saved onto your console's HDD, so they would sync again anyways. Sony can't delete them from your HDD.

That would only work if the trophies were reset, you could just resync them from the PS3. However the account was lost and you had to recreate it, even with same PSN name and email address, chances are they'd not resync.
