before u say my neighbour bought it me coz he owed me some money

i have 4 usb ports on the front and it also has the flap with sd/minisd/cf/magicgate pro

i dnt have any ps2 games to try on it but is it ps2 backwards compatable

aint bothered if it isnt but im just wondering if it is

ive got the same 1 its 60 gig ps2 compat nice what firmware hase it got

it had 3.56 on it it was bought preowned

ive updated it to 3.60 for psn access when it comes back online

i have a 3.55 kmeaw fat ps3 but the drive doesnt work so im only able to play certain direct boot games which is annoying to say the least

have u tryed computer fair theres a bloke that goes to mine that repairs lazers in the blueray drive

the laser is fine ive completly took the ps3 apart and also taken the top of the drive off and also took the inner casing off aswell

the laser and arm work as i can see the purply/blue laser when ps3 is started up

it would be easier for me to buy a cheap bluray

and the reason a took my ps3 apart is my girlfriend smashed my ps3 up and i spent a few days taking it aprt and checking nothing was broken inside

although she ****ed up my drive

my cousin just bought one for 20$ 60gb fat ps2 compatible now he sending to sony to get fixed

i have the 80gb one i will never get rid of that ps3

yeah it should be backwards compatible. my old one was the exact same and it worked but i got it like 4 years ago so the blu ray drive is screwed up on it.
