Incentives for customers to prevent them turning to competitors

Sony executives bowed in apology today for a security breach in the company's PlayStation Network that caused the loss of personal data of some 77million accounts on the online service.
The move comes as it announced it would resume services on its PlayStation Network this week and offer incentives to customers to prevent them turning to competitors.
'We deeply apologize for the inconvenience we have caused,' said Kazuo Hirai, chief of Sony Corp.'s PlayStation video game unit, who was among the three executives who bowed for several seconds at the company's Tokyo headquarters in the traditional style of a Japanese apology.
Some three million Britons use the Sony system to play computer games against people in the UK and other countries have been caught up in the biggest criminal hack on record. Smile
