Warhawk was a multiplayer-only title that originally released exclusively for the PS3 back in 2007. Back then it was rumored that the next game would be called Warhawk 2, in fact recently announced was Starhawk.
A sony employee recently stated:
Unlike Warhawk that was an multiplayer game only, Starhawk will have a single player element to the game also.
The Starhawk game will remain exclusive to the ps3 and will only be able to be bought on blue ray disc, and not downloaded. As you can tell by the name of the game it will be more set around space and the gameplay will be much the same as Warhawk however vehicles will include spaceships and also see the return of APC's and Jeeps.
The maps in the game will be set on planets, while others will take place in space. However it has been said that players will not be able to fly from a planet into space during games.
