Most of you don't know that just days before PSN was hacked, a third of Sony's employees were cut. And we all know that Sony is a big company, so there are alot of employees more than capable of getting revenge over this huge employee cut. All these employees worked in the online branch of Sony, they were also given a two-week notice of their cut, giving them just enough time to do the dirty work and cover up.
Most of may or may not know that Sony also rented servers from AT&T, & with a two-week notice, still being employed, any former Sony employee could've had access to these servers, messing everything up, making it a hard job for Sony, & finishing it off in the comfort of their own home [Possibly in You must login or register to view this content.].
Once again, today, Sony announced that some of their passwords were hashed, as said on their You must login or register to view this content.. Any former employee who specialized in this field could just write down the information to access these passwords before they were layed off. Passwords may be a big part of this, but credit card information is just as accessible through these files.
What do you think? Should this be a thing Sony brings up in the next meeting?[/color]
i was thinking it was also an inside job because who just "happens" to know the weak spots in the security. so i think it may have been an ex sony employee
Regardless if the employees had anything to do with it i bet Sony is wishing they did not fire them. Think about it thats 200 more employees that could be working on this to resolve the issue just my opinion.
