my PS3 gets really hot like after being on for 5 minutes and im scared its gonna break and im really thinking of trading it in cos i got 320GB HDD so i could a fair bit for it and either get another PS3 or get the xbox.. please someone help me with this, thanks

How old is your PS3 and is it well ventilated?

You could always fix it if its gets the normal YLOD and if I were you I'd stick with PS3s.

Did you buy the 320GB HDD or did it come with the ps3?
if so you might have got 2 high of RPMs on the HDD

Also, I fixed my YLOD ps3, and forgot to hook up my fan.. All it did was after a few mins of being on, says some error like the ps3 is getting to hot, shutting down.

which ps3 you have cause i have the 1st gen ps3 that plays ps1,2,3 games and that bitch gets hot but my other ps3 with two usb ports doesnt get hot like my 1st gen ps3.both are the fat ps3
