imo, any game that isn't real with their kill system(multiple snipe shots for 1 kill, 2 clips for one kill etc) is shit. Socom is a camper friendly game, especially compared to cod/mw. Yeah you have to work as a team on socom but you also have to know how to camp exceptionally well. Socom is horrible imo.....all that camping then when you see someone you snipe them, you better pray it's a headshot, if not, they are still alive. On cod/mw you can camp but you'll get killed eventually, and kills on cod/mw aren't 1 hit either but it's a hellof alot easier to kill.

I dont think this is necessarily true because young gamers mostly prefer playing action packed games which are always fun, exciting and fast paced for them; the unrealistic content doesn't matter to them as long as they get continued excitements whether that is from lots of shooting, killing bad guys in ridiculous ways, flying around randomly, driving made-up futuristic vehicles etc etc
Lets face it, young gamers (8-12 year olds) don't play modern type FPS THESE DAYS e.g MW because they are unlikely to know what to do in more tactical game modes e.g search and destroy and simply because they are LIKELY to get owned by more experienced players. Young gamers as i have said before tend to play games which are normally always "fun" in their minds and involve futuristic features e.g force fields, shields etc. But when they play modern shooters, they may think of it as boring and too serious. But i prefer modern type FPS any day purely because of the realism and the very close experience of actually being in the game.

Gee, guys, the game is not even out yet and were already implies which one is better than which....All I'm saying is 256 player is new, how many game out there has 256 player or even 100 player? think about it...If you guy log in to socom confrontation right now, it doesn't matter what time it is, you'll see a lot of channel are full or close to being full with 256 player in that channel. So yeah, there's going to be plenty of people filling up those spot. I got call of duty 4, yeah the graphic is amazing and I also got call of duty 5, it's kinda ok. But both game just sitting there collecting dust. So to sum thing up we all like different thing, but that doesn't make another game better than the other. I will probably get them both just to have it, but I probably spend more time with 256 player just to see what's new.
