It lives, my 360 is back
Is it really worth spending all that money on a new console, then paying extra to get it online (Xbox Live has yearly fees), then paying extra for all the accessories (rechargeable battery pack, wifi adaptor, HDD if you buy an old Core/Arcade 360), then having to buy the games you liked on PS3 for the 360. Then of course there is buying any addons for the games like expansion packs. Then when PSN comes back, you'll end up wanting to use your PS3 again.
Instead what you can do, buy one or two old but very long PS3 games, and just play those until the servers are back online. If playing a console is so important you are willing to buy another just to get it online, you need to spend more time outside. That's not me trying to be insulting, but a simple fact. Not getting online isn't the end of the world, and you'll be better off in the long run when the Sony servers do come online and they start handing out free shit.

Just wait out till PSN is back, I guess it will be back under a week (lol I hope actually)
Buy some good single player game for PS3 till then , or borrow from a friend so that u don't lose money and you can keep yourself busy until PSN is back.
Buying Xbox at this time might turn out a waste of $200 + Xbox live subscription like $50 + a game 50$ so it is gonna cost you 300$+ and I'm pretty sure you will go back to PS3 when the PSN is back so why pay $300+ just for a few days, instead get a good single player game for PS3 or just play some free MMO on the PC till PSN is back .

Complicated to sign in/out? It has auto sign-in... otherwise you press the Xbox button > Sign In. To sign out you press the Xbox button and press X.

To me it really comes down to what my friends have. All of my closest friends have an Xbox, so unless I want to be :fa: on PS3 (like I am now) I would rather have Xbox.
