If you run the MKV file through MKV2VOB it takes off the Cinavia watermark, then you can stream the file using ps3mediaserver or put the film on a USB flash or hard drive.

Just enable "Always Transcode DTS" and it removes the watermark.

It keep the HD resolution and surround sound.

1. download the file as .mkv
2. download & install on laptop MKVMERGE - version GUI v3.3.0 (language)
3. use mkvmerge to remux the .MKV file
4. download & install on laptop mkv2vob
5. use mkv2vob with newly created movie file
6. copy file created by mkv2vob to usb hdd
7. play on ps3 with no cinavia problems.

## only do steps 2 & 3 if step 5 shows txmuxer stopped working errors ##

another fix below

for fixes on 3.55 use showtime for playing pirated movies as showtime doesnt use cinavia so the film will play without error

yea i no that also but most of the time it stops the audio

for me its stopped the playback of " fast and furious 5" which is a cam rip of the film so i cant see how there is cinavia protection on that its weird

Yeah your right, it is weird.. Its embedded with loads of audio encryption(cinavia stating the obvious). When you play the film 1.5x its sounds terrible but cinavia can't pick it up.

Just clarify something though. If you have 3.6+ firmware then the multi output trick no longer works..bummer I know. Will have to try the clock trick though. Thanks!

Also, do you have a laptop? Or a t.v with a usb port or VGA at the back?

VGA port

Just connect your laptop via transfer cable or by VGA cable.. Basically using your t.v as a PC monitor :y:

i have 1 of 2 tv's running as a pc monitor for the meantime also my ps3 is in the bedroom and the pc is aswell both are 22 inch screens so if i want to watch a film i play it through the pc using the tv thus avoiding the cinavia altogether

Yes because its being played through your pc.. As I am aware PS3 and Blu-Ray players are the only consoles with cinavia encryption. Hope this helps :y: its what im used to doing recently.

Also are you using torrent sites for films? If so look through the comments, or the film you want's NFO it should say somewhere whether or not your PS3 can play it...

If you have the Cinavia problems, I suggest you install Showtime to your ps3 (must be on cfw). I use this and it plays all my movies without any problems.

Hope this helps.
