So my ps3 got the yellow light of death last december. I sent it in for $100 and they sent me back a refurb in January with a 3 month warranty. Now, 4 months later the refurb gets YLOD and sony won't fix it unless I pay another $100. So heres my options
1. Argue with sony (IDK what to say)
2. Pay the money get it fixed(not likely)
3. Try to transplant my blu-ray player into my other ps3 with a broken disc drive
4. Sell it to gamestop for a crap price and buy a slim from a friend for $150
What should I do
Take apart and fix yourself then sell to gamestop as a working ps3 not a YLOD ps3 therefore you will get alot more but when u take warrenty sticker off make sure u heat it up so it doesnt void theres a tut on here somewere showing you how to do it gimme a few mins ill look for it for u
Found it for you
