I need somebody who's good with networking do a team viewer session with me as I'm trying to get wired connected to my laptop to have wired connection Ive pretty much try ed everything... Unplugging router , modem , switching DNS, logging onto router , looking at ports , tryed doing DMZ the list goes on :/ and I'm getting quite pi**ed off why i cant do it i would plug it in to the router etc but the cable is not long enough I'm upstairs that's downstairs so yeah Anybody with a brain could be of assistance please

Well if the cable isn't long enough why dont you either move the router/modem upstairs. Or get another router/modem. You could easily get a dongle and use that even though it makes it wireless.

1st. I already knew i could move the router/modem upstairs this doesnt answer my question
2nd.I do not want wireless as i already have it i want wired
3rd.In future use that thing called "the brain" god gave you it comes in handy use it before posting anywhere :O

It's just the only possible way I can think of unless you get a wire extension upstairs throught the wall.

Im moving house soon im not gonna start putting holes in the wall for a few months just to cover it up again :l which is why research is required and people who only know what theyre doing should answer to this thread :l

what kind of a router you got and you must put a password on the wireless then put the password on you're game or laptop try that and you can get connection if you don't get what i mean go to You must login or register to view this content. and then search a wireless router what you guys have. (the router) and then type "How to go online with (what router you have]a wireless router on Ps3 or xbox 360

:black: i myself would pop down to the shops and buy a longer cable but thats me they are not expensive so a cheap easy fix:black:
