i think theres a thread on what to do if you used a fake email not sure if its true or not.

You only need the Email to reset your password if you cant reset if from the original PS3 you created the account on. You should be fine tbh.

You can change you're password through your PS3 in Account Management>Etc.. IF! the account was registered to your PS3. I don't think you'll need your email but if it does, I'd say half the PSN world are screwed .

To change the password all you need is the PS3 where you activated your account.
No email needed. =)
