can my ps3 keep up with the new server/update thing ? its the original chunky 40gb , 5 years old

is it just my ps3 or anyone else having this problem

That use to happen to me it makes this annoying ass sound but it got the YLOD but because I used my computer power cable not because I played a lot.. Just turn the AC on and it will make less noise Hope this helps

That happen to me long time ago, so I move my ps3 to a open space n i buy the cooling fan ,if u have your in a close area try to moved to a open space n that should help

its not about the heat in my room , its the fact that its like it carnt keep up with the game speed and internet connection so it overheats , i have mine next to a window with it open so cold is costently hitting it and keeping it cool , but online gaming seems to turn the fans on ,, its not the sound that bothers me its the fact that when people play it for too long with the fans on thats what causes the YLOD as it burns out the fans and things inside the ps3 :/

Get a can of compress air and spray them fans and keep it out of direct sunlight, keep it 14cm away from any other hardware you have that produces heat.

Also remember hot air rises so adjust your setup accordingly.

Psn shouldnt affect this is anyway. not sure what would cause it, maybe it depends on the game im not sure :confused:

I think the problem is your Playstation is coming to the end of its days. I had fat 60 lasted 4 years then dead!

you can't compare the amount of cpu usage between FIFA vs COD....it's like apples and oranges....besides... after 4 hours of playing , what do you expect....if you read any video game manual, it will tell you to shut offf the console to cool down after 2-3 hours...which i think is a joke.... i wouldnt worry bout it bro.... just make sure there is plenty of ventilation around your PS3....

I have the original FAT 20gb PS3 with an UPGRADED 120GB Hardrive, Still going very strong.....the fan is as loud as a moda fuka..like an airplane tubine...BUT no problems here....
