Post: Ps3 black screen

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My ps3 is definitely messed up. Nothing ever comes up on the screen. I have reset video settings and put it in recovery mode... nothing... The controllers wont even sync. A green light does come on but nothing happens. I have tried different hard drives. I was on CFW 3.55.... Any help?

Well you have to connect your controllers with the cable, after you get into recovery mode.
Unplug the console/flip the switch off.
Hold power until the console turns back off.
Hold power until you hear the second beep.

See if you can get to this menu first.

You have a semi-bricked ps3 mate. I have heard of a few people getting that. You will need a lv2 patch and 3.55 ofw. You can change cfw (my understanding) after you go back to ofw.

Let me guess, Rebug CFW?

Use a diamond based thermal compound. It works so much better than AS5. Here is what I use on my PS3s and PCs: You must login or register to view this content.
