this is not a tut to installing linux! its to help have a desktop for linux for the ones that have followed the youtube vid from that other guy.

DETAILS
u must have a ps3 hdd 80 gig and up, will not work on a 20 gig hdd, specially if u took the xbox 360 hdd and popped it in ur ps3, to small, but does work if u want ps3 on it.

must activate ur telnet on your windows PC,

but if u followed exact options he did i bet u are askin where the frick is my desktop. XD im gonna tell u how to get a desktop for ps3 linux when u followed the youtube vid.

at this point u are staring at a black screen with white letters asking u to login after just sitting there installing linux

& u probably already tried n failed in it saying ur shiz is locked to install packages n all that. here is wat u do.

type in
su

<enter root password>

aptitude install gnome-core

it will start to install ur graphical desktop.


once its finished type in

startx

it will now begin to start ur debian desktop n have mouse clicking action n downloadings of fun.

also a faster way to get to ur linux on ps3 is to just hold the power button untill it beeps once and u will be in. hope this helps ones that r stuck!
