Introduction :

I Have been asked by many players if i could help them with their NAT type and i will also show you how to improve your connection, this is the way i fixed my NAT

What you'll need

  1. PS3
  2. ROUTER
  3. WINDOWS (If you know your default getaway then you don't need Windows)

Steps

On PC (Windows)

1. Click on start You must login or register to view this content.

2. (Windows Vista/7) Search for " CMD " You must login or register to view this content.
(Windows XP ) Open " RUN " then type " CMD " in the empty box and hit enter.

3. A Black box should appear, in it type " ipconfig /all" You must login or register to view this content.

4. Wright down your Default Gateway You must login or register to view this content.

On PS3 (Windows)

1. On your PS3 go to Internet Connection Settings

2. Continue with your configuration and when you find the I.P Address Option, hit Manual

3. Here comes the hard part.

In the I.P ADDRESS type in your default gateway, but the last number change it

For example :

Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1
I.P Address : 192.168.1.42

NOTE : You'll need to remember it![/SIZE]

In the Subnet Mask enter :

Default Gateway is the number you wrought down earlier.

Primary DNS Server is the Default Gateway.
Secondary DNS Server isn't needed.

4. After doing all this continue till you find the UPnP Option , enable it.

5. Run a test and everything should work fine,if it doesn't , tell me the error you receive in the comment.

On PC

1. Now open your Internet Browser and in the URL type in your Default Gateway.

2. (For this step you'll either need to be wired OR need to be close to your router if your use wireless)
Now it should ask you for a login (
You must login or register to view this content. )
If you don't know yours, here's a list of default logins for routers ( You must login or register to view this content. )

3. Now look for something called " DMZ "
(
You must login or register to view this content. )
It may be in a Firewall section.

4. Now when you find it type in your PS3 I.P Address you noted down earlier.

5. Save/Apply it

6. Now search for UPnP Option. (
You must login or register to view this content. )
Enable it.

7. Save/Apply it

8. Turn Off and Leave your PS3 and Router for about 10 mins.

9. Turn them back on and play!

Conclusion

I Hope this helped you, if you need any help leave a comment with your problem.

Do a barrel roll!
I've stumbled across a problem lately, and i just cant figure it out. This happened to be before and ive solved it by just disabling Upnp.
After my router reseted one day, i set everything back to how it was before. But now, i cant host partys and such things on Cod,mvc3. I've tried EVERYTHING. and nothing works. I've set my ps3's IP. DMZ'd it. And it still wont let me host parties. I couldnt figure out why it wouldnt do it even through my NAT firewall. I checked my Security log on my router, and its BLOCKING all incoming connections. It believes its a DoS. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I use wireless and have WPA as my security. ive heard, wpa is too secure to have people connect to your router, so im not sure.
