I think that PSN is just messing up in your area. Just keep trying, and eventually they will be back on track.

It says that its under maintenance for me too.

Dont worry happening to me aswell im from UK ,, i turned mine on it signed in i did a patch transfer 3min at most ! and i tried to sign in and it said undergoing maintenence :/ ?? wtf haha ?? but i also saw something about PSN store coming back online by end of this month , but that as scheduled for this tuesday coming while 1st of june so dunno :/

I just tried signing into a different account, and to do so I have to go through the "Sign up for PSN" thingy. This is where I select use an existing account. But this gives me the maintenance message. I think it does this because it goes through the PS Store and the store is down :/
