I have a Japanese account .. You used to be able to change it (not your actual psn) For example my psn is xThe_RaVe_God-- and I could go into account management and change it to your gay .. My psn ID would stay the same it was just like a nickname if you know what I mean? but now only people with a jap account can see the nickname
