Post: Unsupported/Corrupt Music?!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); First off, sorry if this actually has been answered somewhere. I searched high and low and could not find a clear answer to my question.
My PS3 is about to go through the window, because about 3/4 of the 3000+ songs that I transfer from my external drive show up as either Unsupported Data or Corrupt Data. Now, every single song that I transfer is MP3 format and will work perfectly on my laptop, desktop, iPod, and anything else I've tried to play it on, but the PS3 refuses to play them. I know others have had this problem but I haven't seen a definitive answer to solve it. What is the root of the problem and what can I do about it? Please help.

Did some of the songs come from the PSN store? That would explain it, just activate the songs again, but I doubt that's your problem :/

Unfortunately, no. None of my music is from the Playstation Store.

Maybe theres an error in the ID3 tags? Try re-encoding them possibly?

I have the exact same problem, i think its because your just transferring the data onto the PS3 from the hard-drive it doesn't save it properly and as soon as you take the hard-drive out the PS3 cant locate the songs. But if you put a CD onto it, it saves perfectly.
