To change the password on the ps3 do you just need your previous one to do so??

If you have downloaded a item on the PS3 your account is on even if its not the PS3 you set the account up on then you can get it back straight away you just need to type in a new password. Although if you haven't and you have to do it through email, you should try call sony, I think they will ask you for the account details from that account to get it back, such as address ect.

Can't you do 'forgot your password' on Hotmail?

yeah but i forgot my answer to it! lol, cause i just set up the hotmail account to be used for the ps3 and
it is not my main hotmail account
