(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So this might sound like a really stupid question, and feel free to close it if its already been answered, but here is my problem.

So i play all my games in HD, and i occasionally play Gamebattles. However you need to record any games you play from proof incase of any disputes and such. I have an EzCap capture card but it only records in standard definition.

Therefore if i want to play GB (which i have to record) i have to switch back to standard definition. I dont really have enough money to buy a HD capture card so i was wondering if anybody know a way around it where i could play in HD and record in SD at the same time?

Hope this makes sense to people, i tried to explain it the best that i could. I think it would be a really useful feature for gamers as HD capture cards can cost alot and youtube is becoming a big gaming resource.

As much as I'd like to say "yes", the fact of that matter is, it's impossible. The capture card will record only in SD, so you will need SD resolution to BE recorded.

However, you can play in Standard Definition ON your HDTV, by going to Video Output Settings and choosing 480i. Not sure if you need to choose AV cables, as I have forgotten how capture cards work lol. I used to own a Dazzle but didn't like playing on Standard so I just quit recording.

Hope I helped, I understand it sucks playing in SD :(..

Don't know if this will help you, but this is what I could find. Sorry for the younger male voice, it was all I could find :carling:
