(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok, so i go to get on my ps3 today, and i noticed something weird. all my user accounts had * infront of them...what i mean is...say my username is "Billy" it is now "*Billy" ...usually you get these * in front of your name when PS3 recovers your account if your playstation was formated...but i didnt format it... so i continued into my account to play online and what do you know? my playstation account wasnt there! it said "Sign Up For PSN" so i thought my playstation was corrupted...BUT i still have all of my save data...i called sony and they have NO clue, so im hoping this isnt to confusing and someone knows what the hell happened, thanks :/

your ps3 WILL put * if you recover it or something. i had that too. u havent got hacked. and yeah u need to put pass/email again... just imagine if someone got your backup then u would certainly get hacked haha

you weren't hacked. i'm sure there's a simple explanation for this. try to sign back up to PSN with your account. it will probably work. I've seen this on a persons PS3 before, but don't recall how it happened.

Good luck. :y:

i think some 1 has done a restore default settings on it

restore default blanks your psn sign in details so you have to sign up again to use your account

also u dont lose any sava data with restore default settings

it just restores things like

user names "but recovers them and thats probably why there is * in front to show they have been restored"

internet settings
theme settings

basically any settings on your ps3 it puts them back to the way they were before you first used your ps3
