Am I the only one who got sick of my cousin calling me every five minutes to go to a strip club in Grand Theft Auto IV? I can’t be alone in my feeling that the once quirky, humorous granddaddy of all third-person sandbox games has lost their way. Fortunately for all of us there’s the unabashedly over-the-top, extremely violent and always humorous Saint’s Row series. It’s a series that hearkens back to a time when not every protagonist had to be a dark, gritty brooder with a troubled past. And now part three known simpy as Saint’s Row The Third has been given an official release date.

You can expect to get your hands on all the insane fun on November 15th 2011 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. But, as always I wouldn’t expect that date to stick. These things have a tendency to change a few times as anyone who’s still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever to release can attest to. At least we’ve got a cool new CG trailer to whet our appetites in the meantime. If the gameplay is as awesome as this trailer, this is definitely going to be a day one purchase for me.
