Is it possible to still upgrade the hard drive of a ps3?
I'm sure i read a couple of weeks back that you couldnt as you would brick your ps3 but im not sure

You can upgrade the HDD on your PS3 any time you want. Make sure you back up important files (usually save files, so PS+ Cloud storage is best to use) before you start though.

Anyone who says it will brick is full of shit.

you can upgrade it but it will be asked to format it

i have a 80gb from my old fat still tucked away in a box waiting to be swapped with my 60gb hard drive
