i had this problem, i ended up getting a new ps3 instead of fking with the blueray and stuff, but yah thats not to say its your bluray

either your PS3 Blu-Ray has blown or your laser is dirty, this can be done by Taking the PS3 apart and cleaning all the insides, for a tutorial on cleaning the laser use google.

sounds like ur BlueRay went out. happened to my sister's ps3, u can get it replaced, it should run u about $100-$120 for parts n labor.
