ur blu-ray disc driver is gone.
you can either replace it and buy one off ebay, or just purchase a new ps3(if u have warranty this is btr option).

You'll probably have to buy a new one.
That happened to my older PS3(That is gone now)
I sent it back to sony and they sent me a new one.

You don't need to buy a new one all you have to do is hold down the eject button for twelve seconds until the blue light blinks and do this while the ps3 is on this resets your blu ray drive this worked for me hope I helped!

The following user groaned X-_VeNoM_-X for this awful post:

Yep you definitely need a new laser mech mate. Most can cost about $60-70, and only takes about 20-30 minutes to replace for the first time.

If you need any help, there are videos in my repair/upgrade guide (link in my sig). Hope it helps mate Smile

Just a warning, holding in the eject button (as recommended previously by someone) can cause more damage to your PS3 than already done. So be cautious.
