(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I just bought a game from the PSN store and I was wondering if I can play it on my friends PS3 too at his house if I log in with my account. or is the game restricted to my PS3 only? I was thinking you have to be logged into your account but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if I can? thanks

you can play it so long as you have enough activated ps3 slots for your account

just go to the store and redownloaded it and it should be fine

if your unsure of how many slots out of 5 you have remaining

go to qriocity website and log in with your psn account details

qriocity site link ---> You must login or register to view this content.

Ok so if I log into my friends PS3 with my PSN account, download the game on his PS3 and then log out of my PSN account, can he still play the game?

edit: I've never used Qriocity before or even heard of it so I guess I have 5 slots but what do these slots mean? Thanks again

yea so long as your psn account is on his ps3 then he can play it all the time

its gamesharing same with map packs

if u delete the account that u downloaded the maps off then u dont have the maps

qriocity tells u how many ps3's your account is activated on

and a few other things

your psn account can be activated on 5 ps3's

if u try to activate a 6th ps3 with your account details on it

your account will still go on the ps3 your putting it on but when u try to download anything from the store u will get an error

something like this

"activation failed your account is already activated on the maximum of 5 ps3's please deactivate a ps3 account to download this game"

Okay great thanks bro. I was just searching on google and some dude on yahoo answers said that downloading a game on your friend's PS3 is illegal and can get your account suspended. And that only you can play the game on YOUR PS3 alone. Is this true?

Also when you say "so long as your PSN account is on his PS3", does that mean for him to be able to play the game I have to be "signed in"? Can't he play the game if I'm not signed in with my PSN account on his PS3? What if I'm back at my house and I want to play online that would mean he can't play that game while I'm signed in at my house right?

Sorry if these are the basics, I'm new to this stuff as I recently got my PS3...

its against sony terms and conditions to share your account info with any 1 else to download games or map packs

so long as your account is on his ps3 he can play the game

he doesnt have to be signed into your account to play

but your account has to be on the ps3 because of the game activation from the store so that the ps3 knows its allowed to play the game because your account(the 1 which purchased the game)

you can change your password for your account and he will still be able to play the game
