(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi guys, today I recently put in a blue 3mm LED into my (new version) ps3 controller. I did not have a resistor at the time, so I thought whatever I dont think it will get that hot. So only 10 minutes of playing time, and it got hot on the right side really bad. So I turned it off. So I was wondering what kind of resistor do I need to use/where to put it. I am using blue 3mm (3v) LED. and I soldered it on the back part of the analog sticks (silver boxes).

I was thinking a 100OHMS resistor, is that about right?

Anybody that has modded a controller please contact me, thanks!
