Ubisoft today sent us a great image over of the Assassin's Creed 2 Black Edition to show us what we can expect from the package this coming November.

You may have already heard of its content, if not, it includes the following and will retail at just under £70 from Play.com in the UK. Other countries have other retailers running with this edition, EB Games in Australia for example. We're unsure of the US retailer yet, simply because it's not listed anywhere, but we're sure there will be one.

•Rare “Master Assassin” upgrade Ezio figurine
◦This highly collectible figurine produced in limited quantities introduces a unique and powerful design of upgraded Assassin cloak that Ezio will only access in the advanced stages of the adventure.
•3 in-game bonus quests: Enter & explore the most prestigious moments of the Renaissance. Reveal mysterious unique artifacts hidden within their walls.
◦Palazzo Medicis in Florence
◦Santa Maria Dei Frari In Venice
◦Arsenal Shipyard Warehouse In Venice
•Conspiracy book: this unique piece of art brings together exclusive insights on the game art, story and background direct from the developers of Assassin's Creed II. Secret faces are also revealed from the game's overarching conspiracy. The 64 page book comes with a finely crafted leather style hardcover and parchment finish pages.
•Game Soundtrack by Jesper Kyd (British Academy of Film and Television Arts nominee for "2009 Best original score in a game")
•All videos, behind-the-scene interviews and e-goodies about Assassin's Creed II
•Collectible black packaging featured with unique authentic holographic signature

Do a barrel roll!
I have no idea why they make money wasters like this. For Altair's sake just buy the normal edition....

I'm just going to buy the normal edition. Probably, $70 for a figurine.

I normally scoff at limited edition junks, they are for uber collectors.
I think this though, the art of a rendered renaissance Venice, the leather book, the extra quests and a beautiful figurine are almost worth the extra money.
It reminds me of the good old P.C. boxes but done properly.
Screw your embossed metal tin with some postcards, I want a standard craftsmanship throughout the entire product. Go'dammit

It's quite normal, for a hyped game; and Assassins Creed 2 has been hyped a lot this year. At least it doesn't look tacky and cheap, whereas some other games just look shoddy.
