Battlefield 3 Reddit Boycott

There has been recent discussion on the gaming site Reddit and has lead to the organizing of a boycott for the upcoming Battlefield 3 due to the DLC pack when pre-ordering. In recent times there have been arguments that the DLC's are in the games so why are companies withholding some content such as DLC to use as pre-order bonuses which prevent the people who dont want to pre-order from accessing them. This has lead to the Reddits boycott of Battlefield 3.
There are different pre-order bonus's for different countries. In the UK you will receive the Battlefield "Physical Warfare pack" the features of which can be found here: You must login or register to view this content.
Another Pre-order bonus is the ”Back to Karkand map pack” which includes four of the best Battlefield maps ever created by DICE and gamers will also receive iconic Battlefield 2 weapons and vehicles.
This is where the arguments have started. Having exclusive weapons and vehicles can make the game unbalanced and recieving a map pack that is only available by pre-order is also seen as really unfair. Now before someone says that in Call of duty you do get exclusive maps but these were for zombies and this wasnt purely for pre-order it was in a hardened edition so more people would have had access to it.
Battlefield Bad company boycott
This isnt the first time that EA have been boycotted by angry gamers. Back when Battlefield Bad company was in development EA was planning exclusive content for the game and the site "Sarcastic Gamer" announced a boycott on the game and got many gamers to cancel their pre-orders.

Reddits view
From Reddits point of view is that making gamers pay for DLC which will be available from day 1 is wrong and something needs to be done.
Reddit doesn't want abusive messsages sent to EA about it and wants all users to be polite. Reddit is using its voice over the internet to spread this word so im bringing it to NGU

You will see a list of a lot of emails of the people involved in developing of Battlefield 3. This has turned into serious business unlike the failure of the anonymous boycott of sony stores :derp:
EA's response
EA has responded to these claims and have come out and said that :

EA claims that the features received will not affect the gameplay and that they will not give players an advantage but I see this not being correct :confused:

EA's plans are to give the DLC to gamers who pre-order the special edition or the regular edition and if you don't pre-order you will still be able to pay to download the map pack. Even if your only pre-ordering the regular game you get the maps for free, this is where the argument is aimed and the fact people who prefer to buy their games in stores or at midnight launches will have to pay for this DLC.
What do you think on this argument? Do you agree with the DLC that is available free exclusively for those who pre-order and the rest will have to pay for this map pack which will be available on day 1 of release?
Now I see why this is being seen as a problem and those who prefer to go to midnight launches as they want to get there games early shouldnt have to pay for a map pack just because they didnt preorder the game online.

Why will cod fanboys groan?
I would class myself as a cod fanboy and I do see a reason behind the argument. Some people prefer to go to midnight launches of games to get it early so are gonna have to pay for a map pack just because they didnt order it online.

Hahaha Im still gonna buy both, everyone has there opinions so I dont judge people who prefer battlefield :y:
