(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); the moment i turn on my ps3 the fan gets really loud. and this message pops up..."The system has become hot. Please wait a while before turning it on again". any help? thanks.

Try cleaning the vents with a vacuum cleaner to get some of the dust out. You should do this at least once a week because the more dust in the system, the hotter it runs.

I also recommend (in addition to ichrist26's suggestion) to apply new thermal compound to the GPU/CPU chips. Possibly even upgrading your current fan (most likely a 15 blade) to a OEM 19 blade fan.

okay. the ps3 had ylod before and i put the arctic silver 5 (or whatever its called) on it and should the ps3 be overheating right when I turn it on?

ALSO: the fan gets really loud. like a jet engine

AS5 only works so well for so long. Try switching to diamond based thermal paste. I always use it myself when I repair consoles. It works the best and costs the same as AS5.

No it shouldn't. Try cleaning it first. If it continues, then replace the fan. Also, it could possibly be the PSU.

mine has a simaliar problem i think

it keeps sayng the hard disk is corrupt click ok to restore
i click ok and it restarts after restoring and once its back on it says the same thing over & over

Put your system into recovery mode, then select option 3 (I think it is 3 or 4). That should fix your issue. If not, then replace the HDD.

You probably have it in a closed area, it may cause some problems , i suggest you leave it in an open area

ok so I noticed after I put the top case on to the ps3 it has the YLOD but the ps3 can still load up?... But ima just fix it with some good ole thermal compound and a heat gun and then hopefully everything is all good
