(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Today i got the LYOD on my 3.55 console :FU: . I've watched videos on how to fix it, but i am unsure. Who here has had it fixed? Is there a way to PERMANENTLY fix it? Or is it only temp for 2-3 months? And what's the easiest most effective way to fix.

I fixed mine back in february. And it actually just stopped working today. So I'm about to ad some thermal paste to get it working again. The method i used was the stick your whole motherboard in the oven method. It sounds dumb, I know. But it actually worked for me.

Here is a dissasemble tutorial: You must login or register to view this content.

Here is the video: You must login or register to view this content. <<< Make sure you remove the spongy black things as well as the little sivler battery from the MB beore heating it. Heat it at 425 for 10 minutes. Then you let it cool off before appling Thermal paste.

Also the best type of thermal paste to use is Artic Silver 5 Thermal Paste. Can be bought for about $10. I got mine from RadioShack

I'd buy a new PS3 and just put it my fat PS3 hard drive into it. I haven't gotten a YLOD so far.
