You can upgrade to 3.66 and still retain the flags. BUT you will not be able to downgrade again, least not at the moment. Even though the QA flags stay, the button combination has changed in 3.60+ meaning the menu can't be accessed.

Yeah. Nothing is stopping you from upgrading, nor has there ever been. QA flags doesn't do anything special for the average user. If you update you will no longer be jailbroken, and you will not be able to downgrade.

To properly answer your question the answer is NO. The button combo changed from 3.56+fw's so you won't be able to access the menu you WILL keep the actual flag but you CAN'T access the menu if you update without the button combo also homebrew apps WILL NOT RUN as they DO NOT have the 3.56+ keys. So you can update but for now you can't come back to 3.55.

So would u say online on a qa flagged ps3 on 3.55 will be working soon

And lets say i put a mw2 patch on then i upgrade to 3.65 would it still work.

I doubt it will be anytime soon as the auth code has also changed so we can no longer run our own bypass to the psn auth server you just gotta stick with offline still for awhile on it or data transfer your patches to a 2nd ps3 legit on 3.66... either way choice is yours.

Yeah your CL will work but I think you can still downgrade cause if your flag stays and you downgrade through recovery menu it will work.

I dont think it will be that long because the devs and gitbrew will be working hard on the issue

Also part of the problem comes from the fact that while we have devs helping us the two major devs left figuring out this stuff like maleuith and Kakarotos believe firmly that cfw and psn shouldn't happen. They believe they should be separate which is why all we get are hints from them both unless its something really big.

Really I was curious about this I have confirmation it hasn't worked on phat systems have you tried it personally? I wasted a ps3 my friend planned on updating anyway trying it an failure he couldn't go back... through recovery menu or xmb... so he is on 3.66 till the new button combo is found. It was 80gb phat...
