So i was thinking... Yesterday i took my hdd out of my ps3 to plug it into my computer to get the trophy files to use GetYourPlatinum v1.0.
The outcome of that was a fail....
Put it back into my PS3 and it said it could not read the HDD and i had to download a firmware from the computer and put it into the usb and select the firmware to download.
(deleted 80 GB of saved game data :'( so sad....)
What if you could take the hdd out of the PS3, format it on a computer, plug it back into the ps3 and upload an older OFW via USB?

Who thinks this might work?
Anyone got an extra HDD to test this theory?
Or has this been thought of before? if it has please close

Thats dumb..
But you never know... Sony could have done all these updates to make us think harder and think that it is harder to hack the new firmwares when actually its quite simple

This is impossible as firmware IS NOT stored on the hdd but the flash only way to downgrade is a QA flag from 3.55 downward not up then down either till the new button combo, keys, and flag token(if changed) are found.

When it happened it asked me for a 3.65+ update file.
Could i spoof the OFW file that i download to make the ps3 THINK that im using 3.65 but im not?

I did try :/ it asked me for 3.65+ OFW and so i tried a 3.55 but it wouldnt work.
