This is widely known already just like the medic although the medic trick is more useful as I can get more xp actually playing as soldier and faster then just standing there taking damage.
and not really a glitch
if you want to rank fast in co op as soldier set the difficulty to super human turn on 2nd controler for medic and play there will be enemys for 2 players but since its only you you get the kills plus shield damage. if you get hurt thats what the medics for. also the enemy takes more damage giving you more xp.
you can easily get 60k xp per game in less time then just standing there taking damage
plus if you get a friend or have 2 ps3's you can get 4 players but only have 1 actually playing again increasing the amount of enemies giving you more xp.
