HELL IS HERE
PSX-SCENE member elmondo has brought to our attention that Sony has targeted another developer. Cotojestwtf, who a few months ago released Server Mapper 1.0 a program that allowed for custom firmware access to playstation network lobbies; and more recently, a week ago he annoucened he was working on PS3Linked, a device like Hamachi that would be used for CFW and OFW alike. He has made a statement online regarding his current situation. Also, his youtube account is offline.

data is not nesasery, the project is continued by some people from Russia (i dont know who), so project will be realesed soon.

Co ze mną? kanału już pewnie nigdy nie przywrócę i nie będę wrzucał poradników pod "czarną stronę mocy", jednak nadal będę chętnie odwiedzał PS3-hack.com.pl i udzielał się na forum w mniej rzucających się dla oczu kategoriach.

One representative spoke about how they embrace the indie scene with open arms, but we all know that examples like this prove that statement to be absolute BULLSHITE. This is absolutely ridiculous on how they're manipulating laws and playing the role of a bully who takes things overboard whenever they misconcept things. Seriously, what the **** is it Sony? We aren't try to Pirate things with CFW, we're trying to explore the piece of machine that we PAYED FOR. It's our property once bought, and the fact they get away with these actions without evidence is unacceptable. It's not like everyone who gets CFW is ought to ruin the system.
Sure, there can be people who download it for Piracy. I don't agree with it such a practice at all, I find it wrong, it's essentially stealing. But that's a huge minority in this scene. People want to explore the capabilities with this system, what it can't or can do. Some people want it to modify there games. Sure, it's not fair when they take it online, but judging by the decision to keep exploits at an outdated level to prevent cheating, everything is fair. There is no unauthorized access, we're allowed to modify your portable console, so how is it we can't to your home?
Personally I love CFW for legal emulation as well as homebrew games. It's absolutely neat and it's fun. It's not like I'm breaking the law. Neither are the devlopers like Geo, Graf, or Cotojest.
What are we doing wrong?
