(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It would be easy to paint Sony with the “greedy corporation” brush right about now, and it’s true that’s why so many people do it. They are a business, and every business looks for new ways to increase its revenues. Doing so by making life harder on your customers and their wallets is wholly inexcusable though. These same customers were the ones who bought your over-priced mess of a console, and supported you through the biggest hack and data leak in history. (PlayStation Network, PS3, Sony)

There will always be a way for pirates to pirate games such as these. It's just gonna be harder for them to find. Just think about it, look at how many people pirate pc games (even if they don't work on normal servers, they still work on cracked servers) so why can't it be done on the ps3? This will be interesting especially if sony puts it on high selling games (COD,Tekken,Street fighter, Fifa, etc)

Steam does this pretty much for free. Why is the world based on money and not the wellbeing of our neighbors( in this instance, it's the gamers)?

I went back & did some research on the effects of Pass. This move would DESTROY the mail order games business (ex .Gamefly), and with that it would eliminate cheap gaming. Also, some of my friends can barely buy $60 games every week or two; This would mean that a reduced multiplayer population to those who can't afford $70 games. I'll also bet that sony will put it on the big franchises like COD and Resistance. I'm not so sure about the battlefield franchise if EA already charges for online in some games.

Why are so many people complaining about this its NO DIFFERENT than when EA started doing this with battlefield, MoH, Dead Space 2, and other games. Also its not different than when THQ adopted this policy. And not nearly as big of an uproar was started then people just said grrr... and paid for it for the most part... we just have to expect this as a new industry standard for online play as it seems thats where this is headed... Its not really that big of a deal imo anyway as I usually buy games new(don't say you don't have the money either im broke and I NEVER pay retail EVER never have never will.) I also note that you didn't speak against it personally(Not pointing this comment at you just saying in general I want some feedback as to why people choose to complain now and not when other companies did this? Also this helps to prevent piracy which is a good thing.
