-Game fails to load period. I'll just get a black screen loading it from the XMB
-Game loads, but when I click on "multiplayer" on the main menu, I'll get black screened again.
-MP finally loads, I join a match, wait in the lobby for the match to start..and it freezes and I'll literally have to wait three minutes before I can join the match.
-Game then usually freezes after the map ends.

This usually happens for a few days and goes away for a few weeks where I can play the game fine. Yesterday, I created another user account and now my shit is unplayable. How the **** does creating a new user account mess with the system's ability to properly play a game? I've restored the database, file system, everything. I've called tech support and they have no idea.

Did you try to clean the Black Ops disk? sometimes the game doesnt work properly when the disk is scratched or dirty.

try deleting the patch, then redownload.

it maybe your ps3 that is playing up

im only saying this for 1 reason

my neighbour bought a preowned 80gb and it wouldnt load black ops properly

it couldnt of been the disk as it was my copy and it works fine in my ps3 (60gb b/c)

he took the ps3 back to the store and exchanged it for a 60gb b/c ps3 and black ops loads and plays fine

so i think the problem maybe with your ps3

possibly a dodgy bluray lens or laser or sum dust got in your drive
