Just because active posters of NGU, and learned users like yourself understand all the terminology, it doesn't mean everyone else does :p.
Either way this is going off topic so I'm going to post some more key words for him to add.

  • PSN RC servers!
  • Emu
  • Gitbrew
  • Eboot
  • .Self / .elf

yea his personal definition of jailbreak was wrong, but he still showed that he understood that something "jailbroken" can run homebrew.

but also maybe not everyone has the same knowledge as myself and many others in the ps3 section but there is not any ignorant ps3 users that are running 3.55. there probably are very few people that are running 3.66 and know nothing about the ps3 hacks, but since they are on 3.66 this will never help them. everyone who has a 3.55 or 3.41 ps3 is running cfw or has homebrew on there ps3 and they know enough where a ps3 hacks dictionary is unnecessary.

Dexter FTW !!!
This post is usefull. People write keywords that I don't understand in the Forums and this can might help me to understand and follow a tutorial who has those words included. I'm so a N00b in the hacking part of PS3. My 2nd console has Geohots CFW 3.55 but nothing to play. I can't find a tutorial for people which their Blu-Ray device is broken. I only see threads with strange names and Keywords. This guy should be thanked and his thread marked as a Sticky one. Well only if this guys makes updates with better explaindations and keywords...

PlayStation Jailbreak, often referred to as PS3 Jailbreak, was the first USB chipset that allows unauthorised code execution, such as homebrew, on the Playstation 3. It bypasses a system security check using a memory exploit which occurs with USB devices that allows the execution of unsigned code. One of the most popular pieces of homebrew software used with the device is Backup Manager, which allows users to dump and then run games from the hard drive of the PlayStation 3, or from an external USB drive. Backup Manager can also be used to run homebrew applications that are created to run in native mode.

I'm talking about just the word jailbreak and not ps3 jailbreak lol, jailbreak originated from iPhone jailbreaking, which was meant to let users run homebrew on their iPhones, it's why ps3 hacking is now called jailbreaking because we mainly want to use it for homebrew. Cheers though :y:
