(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have PS3 on CFW 3.55 KMEAW and I have not gone online since January and I have been playing backups since then. I played it yesterday with a friend and today, I try to play a backup and I get the 80010017 error. I have done my research and it seems as though my Blu Ray Player has gone to shit. I do not want to format my HDD or update my firmware. I also do not want to send it into Sony and pay them 150 dollars to repair it. I do not play Black Ops or any other Call of Duty game. I primarily play 2k Sports games, Madden, and NHL. I haven't changed anything since January besides I have updated my MultiMan so I could play NBA 2k11. What the hell is wrong and how can i fix it? Nothing I do to play my games has changed . Its all the same routine. FYI DVDs, and CDs, work. Does anybody out there know how to repair it without too much hassle? I will donate all my vBux and will get my friend to put in an extra 200k when he gets back on. Please help.

If you can find out if just the laser that has broke you can replace this easily, mine broke in my 250gb slim recently and i repaired it in about 1 hour, only about 10 screws to undo, First I would try to do a Database Rebuild and a File System restore or what ever it is, these are options 3 and 4 in the recovery menu, simply hold down the power button until the ps3 turns off again, and then press again till 2 consecutive beeps are made. If the Restores dont work you will have to change the Blu-Ray drive or lens, look deeper into the error code!

first thing try a new manager such as rogero
delete the game data and saved data if this doesnt work try to load a different if this fails then you will need to re backup

you can redownload a copy of the game at You must login or register to view this content.
