Real Gamer Or Not?

In My Opinion Real Gamers Are Based In Play Bunch Of Games, Try Finish All the Games They Start And Have High Gamerscore Or Level Trophies Depend Which Console.

I Heard A Guys Saying "Im A Real Gamer" Im A Pro Gamer" When I Hear that I Say, "What A Guy Only Play the Same Game Everyday, All Day Long" People Who Spend All Time In 1 Game Obviously Gonna Be Good Player In that Game, But What About If A "Pro" Call Of Duty Player Play Racing Games? Or Viceverse?

I Consider Myself A Regular Gamer, I Play Most Of the Time Call Of Duty Games, Need For Speed And Madden! I Like To Do Trophies, But If the Game Is TOO Hard I Leave the Achievements :Upside Down Happy(

How Consider Yourself?

I am a gamer pure and simple. I rebuilt my 486 dx4 so I can play my older games in their native environment, and a quad for the newer ones. I enjoy the games that give me a story, that throw me into the action, make me think.
Yes I have my old atari, and commodore, I also own a ps3. I enjoy all the games I have, the systems I own. It isn't about the trophies, or the challenge, it is about one thing. When you beat the game did you enjoy it enough to be willing to replay it again? That to me is what makes me a gamer, I enjoy the games I play, even if they are over 20 yrs old. Smile

I don't think amount of trophies or achievements define a real gamer... I'm on lvl 27 for trophies and have about 15k gamer score but I've owned every game system from the Nintendo virtualboy forward and have played several old pc type games that most gamers nowadays have forgotten or didn't know existed and owned almost all major titles on each system as well as several that werent I've played and beaten over 500 games I consider myself a real gamer but thats just because I like everything and im good at them... its just a hobby though I've never really watched much tv or read that many books, or seen that many movies games are more or less my form of entertainment... So to call someone a real gamer or a player that only plays one game is I guess to narrow a topic in my opinion I think there are several types of gamers. Such as FPS players, Racing sim/arcade players, Fighting Game players, etc... but I guess thats just me cause everyone has there particulars that they play more than others. Some are ok at everything others are AMAZING at one thing and terrible at everything else and some are just terrible I don't think amount of games played has anything to do with it... just my opinion... and to everyone that says oh no life or whatever... Sorry to disappoint but I have both a girlfriend and a job... so... yeah....

I have played over 150 games on ps3, finishing the most of them and platting the games i really like. In BFBC2 im level 30 have played that about 130h or so. Played CoD4 for 30days or so idk how many hours that makes cba to use maths. Killstreak is 43 and have all golden weapons, im pro at cod4 i have to tell u that tho. Same thing in MW2 i was one of the first to use the qwuikscope, none of the guys i played with didnt know a thing bout quickscoping and then it got popular after about a month. Also massive pro at mw2. Black Ops prestige 3 and well i platted W@W in like 3-4 days then played a little online, didnt like it and sold it. Now im a BFBC2 pro :P Also very good at GT5.

You weren't one of the first to quickscope if you started in MW2... almost everybody already knew how to do it in cod4. /facepalm

I'm not an extreme gamer, but I play several games. I can't stand when people only play CoD and say they are hardcore... Right now I play GT5 most of the time, only cause I'm trying to beat it. After that, idk what im going to play..

I think you hit the nail on the head here. I don't think there's such a thing as a 'real gamer'. Playing games, for me, is about the experience.
