I recently had my PS3 fixed (kind-of) from the overheating issue. When I recieved my console back it now has problems turning on..

When I click the PS button on the controller, the PS3 will beep and start up with the green light but no picture or sound will come out of the TV. Then I look and my controller and the lights have gone. I press the PS button again but the lights do not switch on which is a little wierd.

I have 2 controllers so when one has switched off I press the PS button on the other one which just causes it to continually flash lights at me as if it was trying to connect.

The only way to turn off my PS3 is from the main switch at the back. When I press the PS button when the console is off, both controllers flash the lights and does not start the PS3 up at all. When I pess the power button on the console, it will boot itself up but again does not show any picture and the lights still continue to flash. If I connect the controllers to the PS3 they will sometimes charge, sometimes keep flashing.

After about 5-8 tries of turning it on and off, it will work when I press the power button on the console, once the picture and sound have come up it will then allow me to turn on the controllers.

I am really confused why this happens..

this happen to my friend and his ps3 would turn on at all send it to playstation n get it fixed

I would send it back and tel them whats wrong with it, as it wasnt your fault. its kinda confusing too the way you said it lol.

yeah send it back sounds like something got knocked loose inside the console probably happened during shipment back to you.
