If that doesnt work use a needle and press in a tiny hole in the back of the controller, just at the top right side of the controller.

I had the exact same problem and I had to call Sony and they said to do this and it worked. If you don't have a needle, you could just use the tip of a pencil. That's what I used.

Just plug it into the ps3 via usb cable and it should sync up

Yup Thats How You Either Plug In Your controller to your ps3 or stick it with a needle it will reset your controller.. :y:
