Post: Controller Issue

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); First, I've never had any past or long-term issues with this controller. I've never dropped it or have done anything to physically corrupt/deface the controller. It is not even a year old.

Just a few days ago I've begun to notice that while almost every button on the controller is functional, the L1 and L2 buttons refuse to give any response on-screen (I can't ADS/toss secondary grenades in CoD, for instance). Again, the controller is still intact, I've never even damaged the controller- it is just those two buttons which don't seem to provide input anymore. I was wondering if there is any solution for this issue other than having to purchase an entirely new controller.

Feel free to ask me any questions as well.

Hmmmm not sure why its only those 2 but if your a handy man with hardware ( god knows i destroyed my second controller) you could check internal components to see if they are positioned where its sposed to be like lined up inside. Other wise dont try tht

I remember doing this for my PS1 controllers back in the day, because they frequently had the same issue. I'm wondering if there is a more simple solution.

It's probably from playing soooo much. If you wanted to you could take it apart and make sure everything is still connected inside.

I strongly doubt that is the issue, I've used the original controller which came with my PS3 for many years now, and it still functions fine while it has been the victim of my anger many times. :p

I purchased this from Best Buy. I doubt they would allow me exchange it after a year of use; they would probably hold me accountable for the controller's faulty state.
